How to look younger

From a change of diet, anti wrinkle creams to expensive surgery there are plenty of ways to try and look younger.  Here are some of our tips to looking younger and having a healthier life.

Smile more

A very simple first step is to smile more!  Just try to guess how old people look on Guess My Age.  You’ll quickly see that the more you smile the younger you could look.

Diet and Food

Tomatoes, contain a substance called lycopene, which helps give your skin protection against harmful UV rays.

Oily fish, like salmon, contain a lot of DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol).  This helps improve muscle tone and is found in a lot of high end skin creams.  It is said that eating oily fish twice a week could offer the same benefits.

Within grapes, plums, pears and berries is something called Sorbitol.  It gives these fruits their sweetness.  Not only that but the substance can help your skin absorb and keep moisture.

Find an exercise or sport that you enjoy, don’t just join a gym and never go.  Regular exercise, as well as being good for your all round health, will help reduce muscle loss, improve your sleep and help you to both look and feel young.

Attention to detail

It’s the little things that can give your true age away.

Your face will be one of the first places someone will look to guess your age.  Start a good skin cleansing and moisturising regime.  Avoid regular soap which can dry your skin, and use a gentle wash, such as Cetaphil, that will gently clean your skin.

Eyebrows, shaving and grooming

Be sure to keep your eyebrows in check. For men, a clean shave or well trimmed beard can all help improve your overall appearance and keep you looking youthful.

Dress sharp

Ditch that ill-fitting tracksuit.  Invest in some good quality, well fitting clothes that suit you and make you feel comfortable.
